Carry on the G-SHOCK legacy with the original dial colors of the DW-5000C — the very first G-SHOCK — recreated in a full-metal design.

The classic G-SHOCK colors are faithfully reproduced just like the original model: red symbolizes the passion to take on challenges, blue represents outstanding water resistance, and yellow signifies superior shock resistance.

Creating a stainless steel bezel with such depth and dimension requires a time-consuming and meticulous process of forging, cutting, and polishing. The top surface of the bezel is beautifully finished with a hairline treatment, while the sloped edges are mirror-polished to maximize the beauty of the metal texture.

Building a full-metal watch while preserving G-SHOCK’s original shock-resistant structure was no easy task. Fine resin cushioning components are installed between the stainless steel bezel and case, while a three-pronged band connection structure effectively disperses impacts to the connecting pipes. The stainless steel case also retains the original screw-lock construction to ensure a highly secure seal.

Indentations are added to the metal band pieces to recreate the appearance of the resin band design from the original G-SHOCK. The fact that this watch is manufactured at Yamagata Casio — the “mother factory” where the very first G-SHOCK was produced — perfectly completes the circle of this iconic design.
